 This last Saturday we hosted a parents night out/water balloon mania.  We started with a few water balloon games, such as the water balloon toss, dodge ball, and a small water fight. After eating some pizza, we brought the fun inside. We played more games that was nonstop for the rest of the evening.

No kids classes or Adult Hawaiian Kempo July 6th-10th.

All kids and adult belt classes will resume on Monday, July 13th.

North County Community Event. July 18th 9a.m.—1p.m. in The Home Depot Parking lot.

Pit North will be hosting it’s first ever Kick-a-thin on September 20th. The event is open to the public. By participating in or attending the event, you will help raise funds for children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS, and Sickle Cell Anemia.

St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by the late entertainer, Danny Thomas, and based in Memphis, Tennessee, St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fund raising organization, through events such as Martial Arts for St. Jude.

Participants will kick their max for one minute. Each participate will have a “counter” to keep tract or count of each kick thrown. The sponsors have the option donating a certain amount for each kick or just contributing one sum amount.

Some of our Kids and adults participated in demonstrated some of there technique in front of onlookers at the Paso Robles, Midstate Fair. Our students grappled, hit pads, sparred, and showed some really awesome throws. We featured all of our different classes and age groups, including: Little dragons, Jr. Kids World, Kids World, and Level 2 Adult Kickboxing.

What: Highly effective reality based self defense. When: 5/31/2007. 11:30 – 2:30 p.m. Where: Pit North. Cost: $20 Come learn practical and effective self defense. You don’t need to be a black belt to learn and apply these moves. They could just save your life. The course is taught by some of the most qualified martial artists on the central coast, and the techniques taught are safe, easy to learn, and effective.

• Mark Rodgers made his fighting debut at age 17 as he took home a unanimous victory win; overwhelming his opponent with fast combinations of punches and kicks.
• Brian Smith’s record moves to 3-0 as he won a unanimous decision over a very built and tough opponent.
• Quinton Rouse out boxed, clinched, kicked, and conditioned his opponent and sent him to the mat several times. The opponent proved tough as he held on to last the fight, but lost a unanimous decision.
• Seth Hall used the clinch and knees to win his debut kickboxing debut.
• Terry Cook scored a knockout in the very first round, making him the only person to win by KO that evening.
• Roland Camacho was the only defeat suffered by the Pit North gym as he lost a unanimous decision.
• Christina Riddering amazed the crowd with her fast kick, punches, and devastating combinations. Christina out classed her way to victory, winning a unanimous decision over her opponent.
